As China’s National Treasure, the giant panda is one of the rarest animals in the world. The total number is estimated to be 1,500, including those living in the wild, 80% of which are in Sichuan Province.A breeding center for giant pandas was founded in the north suburbs of Chengdu. It is the only one of its kind in the world that’s located in a metropolitan area. In order to better protect wild giant pandas, Chengdu has established nature reserves in Dujiangyan City, Chongzhou City, and Dayi County. Sichuan Wolong Giant Panda Nature Reserve, the biggest of its kind in the world, is only 130 kilometers outside Chengdu.The western world came to know giant pandas only after a French missionary named David first discovered this species in Sichuan in 1869.Now, the somewhat clumsy giant panda is a symbol representing the World Wildlife Fund. They are also a messenger of friendly communication between Chengdu and international cities. Currently, giant pandas are also reared in U.S.A, Germany, Austria, Japan, Thailand as well as Mexico.Chengdu has established the world renowned breeding and research base for giant pandas, which attracts almost 100,000 visitors each year. Covering tens of hectares with bamboo groves and a native-like habitat, the base is the only one of its kind located in an urban area. A museum is open to the public throughout the year. Kung Fu Panda 2 In 2008, after the release of the American animation movie Kung Fu Panda, DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg and other DreamWorks members visited the city of Chengdu. Start from ChengDu at 8:00AM,go through the highway to arrive LeShan giant buddha(128KM,about 2.5 hours ride),Visit the local market (booth zone,old people park,local market.snacks...),after lunch,visit LinYun temple,Grand Hall,..giant buddha(schdual time is about 3-4 hours)height 161m,width 24m,narrow footway planked over a cliff,which is safty thrilling adventurous,then climb upstair the cliff,view with panorama the leshan city and river,afterwards leave for Emei moutain(37KM apart,about 40 minute),the night time is free activity,you have time to relax in hot spring,which is self-pay programme

set out 8:00 AM,Entrance into Emei moutain,get closer to the real nature.visit BaoGuo Temple which is biggest temple in Emei mt,enjoy the buddha culture, architecture, monks,pilgrimage....transffer to FuHu Temple,very magic and seren city,inner peace is here,time for lunch,dinner together with Buddhist nun in fuhu temple.afterwards.back to ChengDu or chengdu airport.addtionally.as self pay programme.you could refresh yourself by massaging.night show---sichuan opera(including face change,acrobatics,and other performances to relax.it will give you special experience.
